Dr. Chandy Lopes
Born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii, Dr. Lopes has made it her life’s work to bring quality and comprehensive natural health care to her community. Dr Lopes combines integrity, compassion, and a vast medical background in both traditional and evidence- based medicine to provide dependable and accurate healthcare.
Education and Background:
Dr Lopes graduated from the prestigious Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington, with a degree in Naturopathic Medicine. Her focus is to help her patients feel better and to prevent disease and disease progression, sometimes referred to as “anti-aging medicine.” Dr. Lopes specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement (bHRT) and IV nutrition. In order to address the whole person, Dr. Lopes also integrates Cellcom bioregulation therapy and IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback to help balance the mental and emotional with the physical body.
Naturopathic Method:
Naturopathic medicine is a patient-centered approach that works to treat not just the disease, but the underlying cause. Different from western medicine, naturopathic medicine examines environmental, lifestyle, nutritional, and emotional factors that may have contributed to or are fostering disease in the body. By focusing on the root source, and implementing natural and gentle remedies, patients can balance their systems, which allows the body’s inherent healing ability to take over. The results are sustainable good health and well-being.
With active listening and in-depth discussion, Dr Lopes creates a tailored, all-inclusive health plan utilizing the safest, most effective methods possible. Plans incorporate coaching, homeopathy, nutrition, lifestyle changes, bHRT, herbs, supplements, biofeedback and neurofeedback. Patients come away with a new awareness and connection to their body, mind, and spirit. Empowered and supported, patients are eager to take responsibility, knowing that better health is within their grasp.
Advanced Training and Education:
Dr. Lopes also holds a BA in religion from Colgate University in upstate New York with a focus in pre-med. She has extensive knowledge of Biotherapeutic drainage, CST 1 and 2, Constitutional Hydrotherapy, Craniosacral therapy, and Shamanic studies.
Dr. Lopes is trained in the BioTE method of hormone replacement and continues her education in hormones under Worldlink Medical. She keeps up-to-date with the latest IV therapy and alternative medicine trainings via International IV Nutrition Therapy, Sopmed and AAMP.
Personal Commitment and Lifestyle:
Dr Lopes mission is to help people feel better by fostering awareness of bHRT, alternative medicine, and natural remedies. She supports respect and healthy stewardship of the land, and encourages honoring ourselves and our ohana as innate parts of everyone's health and healing.
