What is Naturopathic Health Care?

Naturopathic Doctors (ND) are primary care physicians trained to use traditional healing methods and modern science to treat acute and chronic medical conditions.  Naturopathic Health Care is how NDs care for our patients.  My goal is to facilitate your body’s natural abilities to restore and maintain optimal health for you to live a full and happy life.  This will include focusing on prevention, comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, patient education, and identifying and removing barriers to good health.  All of these measures facilitate good health inside and out.

Some commonly treated conditions include:

  • Digestive disturbances
  • Hormonal imbalance
  • Menopause
  • Adrenal fatigue
  • Allergies
  • Heart disease
  • Obesity
  • Respiratory conditions
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic fatigue syndrome

The vision of Naturopathic Health Care is to support or re-establish the foundations to health that are long-lasting and preventative.

Visits with your Naturopathic Doctor are very different from visits with conventional medical doctors.  Each visit with me will be from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on your individual needs.  This time will include identifying your key goals for your health, appropriate physical exams, ordering of labs and creating an individualized treatment plan.

The beauty of Naturopathic Health Care is that it grows with you.  It is the return of the family doctor who see’s patients from childhood through adulthood.  The time to take care of your health begins now.
